Digital Marketing Bootcamp
We’ll teach you the skills, tips, and tricks to run a successful digital marketing strategy for any company.
Whether you’ve worked on national campaigns, run your own travel blog or are new to the world of digital marketing – the Paradise Interns’ Digital Marketing Bootcamp will improve your skills. We’ll begin with marketing theory, continue by providing interns with the newest tools and best practices, regularly monitor the latest updates on ever-changing techniques and algorithms, expand on any previous knowledge and equip you with all the information you’ll need to run an effective digital marketing strategy. You’ll be able to learn from Paradise Interns founder, Anna Kloth, as well as gaining access to exclusive lectures from other experts within the diving and travel industry. By week four, you may feel like you are working out in the sun on a beach with a coach encouraging you on with, “Faster! Harder!”. But we promise, your social media six-pack will be totally worth it.
Join The Team
After arming you with the skills needed, we’ll hand you the keys to a company’s online presence as you learn by actually making things happen.
At Paradise Interns, we know that understanding the theory behind a strategy and executing a marketing strategy are entirely different things. Enter Stage 2. The Thunderdome of digital marketing. Make your way to your designated company where you’ll be welcomed as a member of the team. It’s imperative that you throw yourself into the mix – that means going diving regularly, hanging out with the crew, having a couple sunset beverages and just generally getting a feel for what makes your shop special. You’ll be the voice of a brand which means you need to understand their particular vibes! After a couple weeks, you’ll find everything gets a bit easier.
Of course, Paradise Interns won’t just drop you off at summer camp with no further contact! Each week you’ll check in with your mentor, Anna Kloth, who will review and approve content, go over analytics, discuss any tweaks in strategy, proofread and just generally be along for the ride. Scuba and marketing internships are what you make of them, so the more questions – the better! Just know that this internship is your opportunity to shine. 60% of our graduates were offered paid positions directly out of their internship.

What Do Former Interns Say?
The internship entails a whole lotta learning and immersing yourself in Indonesia. I was loving every minute of it. The marketing side of things is an informative course, if you pay attention and make your struggles known, you’ll be just fine. Realising that you will be representing a real live brand is kind of daunting. You’re the internet gatekeeper of a dive shop that relies heavily on their web presence. That being said, you aren’t working for a big corporation, you can allow your own voice to shine through: that's why Anna selects us for these individual shops. Just remember to immerse yourself in the process, learn what you can and most importantly have fun. I know that to many this may have seemed like a ridiculous decision, and I’m pretty sure they’re still not entirely sanguine about it. But for myself, I know I’ve found a path that I’m excited to follow and I’m going to be able to use this to gain potential employment with other companies. Who knew that thanks to social media, I would be here on this tropical island and diving the best dive sites in the world. Finding paradise interns was an amalgamation of both sheer luck and some pretty amazing Facebook targeting on Anna’s part.
My internship with Anna Kloth? One of the best professional experiences I’ve had and my favourite internship! I started my internship with knowledge in marketing from my previous experiences, of course, but I wasn't confident in all aspects of the job. It could be difficult to talk about these subjects with your manager but this is crucial. Anna listened in order to help me improve. She gave me tasks that put me out of my comfort zone to help me increase my skills and become more confident. However, I didn't feel looked over and not supported. I knew I could ask her if I had questions. The great point with the internship is that you work on each aspect of the business under the direct supervision of Anna. Therefore, there are a lot of things to learn and Anna is always very happy to explain and show them to you if you are interested. Furthermore, the other point I really enjoyed was that Anna would ask my point of view and my thoughts about specific subjects. I didn't feel like an intern, but actually part of the team working together to get the best results. Don't misunderstand me, it is quite intense, you don't count the hours and you need to be independent and willing to learn, however, what you will get out of your internship is new knowledge, skills and great memories!
When I first found out about this internship I could not believe how perfect it was. I had fallen in love with Indonesia, was considering doing my divemaster, and wanted to enhance my CV to be able to live and work abroad! From the very first conversation with Anna, I knew this was the right decision for me. Anna is fantastic at what she does, incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, which inevitably rubs off on you! I have learnt so much during the initial training and throughout the time at my dive shop, which will help me pursue a career in the marketing and/or diving industry. What really stands out is how much Paradise Interns cares about you as a person, making sure that you get as much value out of this experience as possible, based on the direction you want to go in afterwards. You get as much out of the program as you put in, it is hard work and challenging at times, but the experience you gain is invaluable. If I could redo the whole internship again, I would in a heartbeat! This internship has helped me gain the skills, experience and contacts to be able to live my dream lifestyle and I will be forever grateful for that!
